Foundry Production Laborer
Full Job Description
Production laborers typically work 8 hour shifts M-F. They are an essential part of the team that works on the pouring line doing a variety of job tasks. Shifts rotate every 4 weeks at scheduled intervals to allow for planning ahead and adjusting to sleep schedules. Overtime is always available and is on a voluntary basis once initial training has been completed.
Type of work you will perform:
- Heavy industrial environment which requires you to lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 35 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Work in both extreme heat and sometimes cold.
- Operate forklift.
- Ensure quality standards are met during the production process.
- Work with a team to coordinate and pour molten metal (must be physically able to be near heat).
- Learn new skills and have opportunities for advancement.
- Take a positive and proactive approach toward safety. Safety first–always!
Skills you need to succeed:
- Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Attention to detail and willingness to adapt to different tasks when needed.
- Punctuality and reliability are invaluable.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule that will include night shifts.

Production Shift Supervisor
Full Job Description
The Shift Supervisor oversees the operation of two melting furnaces. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will interact with other departments. During the shift, the Supervisor is responsible for directing laborers on two furnaces, supervising ingot pouring, and stacking & enforcing all production, safety rules, and procedures.
The Company operates 24 hours per day 7 days per week. There are three 8-hour shifts, which rotate every 4 weeks. Supervisors rotate with their shift and are responsible for filling one weekend shift that qualifies as overtime pay.
Skills you need to succeed:
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in aluminum furnace operations or other metals melt shop
- Working knowledge of metal chemistries, scrap handling and melt practices
- Experienced forklift driver
- Experience monitoring a complete Safety program, including training of employees
- Experience in writing shift reports for management, disciplinary forms, and performance review documentation
- Experience operating equipment and monitoring preventative maintenance programs for equipment

Corporate Controller
Full Job Description
The Controller position is responsible for overseeing all accounting processes including AP, AR, Inventory Control, and Financial Reporting. The position reports to the COO and Treasurer and will be expected to handle additional responsibilities such as preparing management reports, variance analysis and working with outside auditors. The Controller will be expected to cross-train in all accounting responsibilities and interact with other office staff, the Company sales team and plant operations personnel. The Company has one location and there is no travel required for this position.
Skills you need to succeed:
Candidates should have experience in financial reporting and cost accounting at a manufacturing operation or an auditing firm. Ideal candidates would have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and licensed CPA
- 5 or more years of corporate accounting or audit experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Accounting Information Systems, and ERP Systems
- Strong cost accounting analytical skills and experience presenting financial data to senior management
- Experience working with outside auditors and compliance agencies
Specific Duties:
The Controller will initially be required to perform daily accounting functions as directed by the COO and cross-train on all Trialco Accounting functions. This will include payables, inventory tracking, invoicing, purchasing, and daily bank account reconciliations. Once the initial orientation is complete, the essential responsibilities include:
- Daily bank account reconciliation, analysis of cash receipts and funding of payments to vendors
- Daily balancing of subsidiary ledgers for inventory, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Responsible for month-end close
- Maintain open orders log with shipment dates and weekly sales and production forecast
- Assist raw material manager in tracking inventory and paying raw material suppliers
- Assist plant operations manager in processing all other operating expenses
- Apply cost accounting principles to accurately value and report all inventory
- Responsible for weekly reporting of financials and inventory analysis to COO, President, and Owner.

Foundry Maintenance Technician
Full Job Description
As a member of the maintenance department, the Maintenance Technician will report directly Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of all plant machines and equipment normally handled by company personnel.
The Maintenance Technician minimizes production downtime through both preventative maintenance and equipment repair. The position will also be heavily involved with company procedures regarding sustainability, safety, and compliance where applicable.
Skills you need to succeed:
- Ability to work in a hot/noisy environment
- Working knowledge of foundry equipment including furnaces, bag houses, and emergency alarm systems
- Safety oriented, reliable, hard-working, and punctual
- Must be able to work around heat
- Some basic welding, electrical, and mechanical skills
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal agencies
- Ability to maintain repair logs, inspection logs, etc. and complete work orders as needed
- Prior foundry or melt-shop experience is preferred
Specific Duties:
- Disassemble and repair plant machines and equipment, replace worn or broken parts, install bearings and shafts, repair and adjust clutches, time and synchronize various drives and actuation devices, etc.
- Move and setup machines and equipment, hookup motors and install service lines such as water, coolant, oil, gas, etc.
- Install ordinary lighting and power circuits, switches, automatic controls, starters, and electrical devices common to machines, furnace, plating, etc.
- Troubleshoot on electrical breakdowns, trace and block out source of trouble, replace wiring, contacts, solenoids, tubes, thermocouples, and other heating elements.
- Requisition repair parts and materials.
- Ordinary plant carpentry, pipefitting, plumbing, and mechanical and electrical repair, and maintenance.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.

Metal Control Manager
Full Job Description
The Metal Control Manager is responsible for managing the raw material inventory needed for production. The position reports to the COO and Treasurer and will be expected to prepare inventory reports, project materials needed for future production, and be able to forecast finished product cost. The Metal Control Manager will be expected to cross-train in all production processes and interact with other office staff, the Company sales team and plant operations personnel.
Skills you need to succeed:
Candidates should have experience in accounting at a manufacturing operation or an auditing firm. Ideal candidates would have the following:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably a foundry or melt shop
- 5 or more years of management experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Accounting Information Systems, and ERP Systems
- Strong analytical skills and experience in writing reports and presenting data to senior management
- Familiarity with metal chemistries and scrap preferred
- Experience managing inventory and production schedules
Specific Duties:
The Metal Control Manager will initially be required to perform daily raw material management and train on the production process. This may include assisting in production staging, retrieving raw materials for production, and learning how to calculate production costs. Once the initial orientation is complete, the essential responsibilities include:
- Preparing decision-making reports for raw material procurement
- Controls and maintains raw material inventory and quality standards
- Responsible for preparing weekly reports on inventory on hand and projected need
- Initiate procurement and receiving operations with purchasing department
- Review production charge sheets and assist in maintaining production schedule
- Assist plant operations manager in scheduling production and staging raw materials
- Calculate cost of production and optimize raw material usage to maximize savings
- Enforce vendor quality standard and be able to test material quality and chemistry on site
